One of the most significant aspects of effective counselling is relationship. The relationship between you and your counsellor. Some clients find they are able to get a good sense of the connection over the phone. The first session is really where you are able to truly determine if there is a good fit, but sometimes it can be felt prior to that session with the initial phone call.
We welcome phone calls, just to check us out, just to have the initial chat to explore that connection – to determine if there is a feeling of comfort and safety offered to you, during that first call. If we don’t answer right away, feel free to leave a brief message with your name and number and our counsellor will call you back within 24 hours. Our response time is usually within 3 hours.
We know that calling is a challenging step for most clients, and honour this with prompt response times and having a counsellor speak with you rather than a receptionist.
