BCACC is a Professional Counselling Association with membership across the province of British Columbia, they represent over 3,800 Registered Clinical Counsellors across BC. An RCC is a counsellor that have met specific educational and training criteria that provide assurance of experience, qualifications and stringent professional and ethical standards. In addition, RCCs have not only met the academic, clinical competence, and professional requirements, they have voluntarily committed themselves to practice according to an ethical code of conduct and standards of practice.
BCACC is a member of the Federation of Associations for Counselling Therapists in BC (FACT BC). FACT BC is the unified provincial voice of its member associations as they pursue regulation and the development of the College of Counselling Therapists to serve the needs of British Columbians. working to establish a College of Counselling Therapists under BC’s Health Professions Act (HPA) to promote and ensure public protection, accessibility and accountability.
