How to find details about your coverage
If you are covered under your extended health plan for the services of Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) you may be entitled to claim some of your individual & family counselling therapy expenses.
We recommend that you contact Pacific Blue Cross directly to obtain accurate information about your plan before engaging counselling. When claiming for their counselling expenses with a BCACC Registered Clinical Counsellor Blue Cross claimants must submit their payment receipts manually.
Please note: *At this time Registered Clinical Counsellors with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors BCACC are unable to direct-bill Pacific Blue Cross at the point of sale and obtain payment on your behalf.
Once we have processed your payment, a digital copy of your payment receipt will be emailed to you within minutes. On a general basis, our clients are able to submit their payment receipts electronically in order to have their claim(s) processed promptly. Feel free to let us know if you prefer to obtain a print copy of your payment receipt for counseling services.

- Find the Pacific Blue Cross detailed policy:
- Consult with your HR department to find out how to find the policy, which details the specifics of your company’s extended health plan with Blue Cross
- Often this information is provided in a booklet, on a website or via telephone.
- Your Blue Cross extended health package should usually outline which therapist/counsellor/psychotherapist credentials are covered by the insurance plan; specifically:
- Ask if your insurance plan covers Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) Fees
- Request information on:
- The yearly maximum allowed by Blue Cross for counselling expense reimbursement;
- The deductible or the per cent of coverage for each visit.
- Select a Counselling Therapist/Psychotherapist who belongs to an association or college recognized by Pacific Blue Cross:
